CONNIE HUDDLESON AND COMPANY
Connie and her husband Chuck live in a Neoclassical Victorian neighborhood in Windsor, Colorado. Connie’s love of decorating and design reflect in her home and NOW, their recently purchased and remodeled 1915 two story building on Main Street. The Little Wool Shoppe retail store and classroom on the first floor, lead up the century old Jenny Lind staircase to Connie’s private Design Studio and Carrie’s offices that house the Wholesale business – Starry Pines Pattern Co. (and a couple grandkids, too!)
Connie will celebrate her 10th Official year of designing in 2009. Along with her daughter Carrie (who has been with her for 36 years) but in the business since incorporated, they do as many women do, wear many hats, as wives and moms and business women. We strive for the best, and try not to fall short of that, too often!!
Connie loves texture and folk art. It is easy to see that in her primitive designs and her almost exclusive use of 100% Wool and flannel. The uniqueness of her designs, the stories her patterns tell and her love of rich color will not disappoint you. She continually tries to design “outside the quilting box” and is overjoyed when her designs inspire you to do the same. She is always looking for ways to move those scraps out of your stash and has recently added “Mystery” projects and additional “Block of the Month” possibilities.
Connie’s Quilt shoppe is one of a kind, features her designs, kits and the best selection of wool and hand-dyed wools in the Midwest. Also featured are other Designers patterns and kits, Perle Cottons and a large selection of different cotton fabric lines.
Connie is available for Speaking Engagements and Workshops. Her silly sense of humor and fabulous Trunk Show will not disappoint you.
