 100% WOOL APPLIQUE ON FLANNEL BACKGROUND

A few years ago, I presented a series of three quilt projects that are perfect to create as a Block of a Month, make as a group project or on your own.  These project feature Flannel background fabrics in either Black or Crème and then wool applique.  As shown in the Gallery below, you will see that we “colored outside” the wool lines and show the projects in other fabrics.  The possibilities are endless………………………

This project was designed as a 6 month Block of the Month.  Unusual, but step by step instructions are included, starting with creating the “Wallpaper” background that is Running stitches forming crosshatching.  Then step by step, vase, stems, leaves and flower appliqués are added to create this really gorgeous applique treasure.
